The world's first building with built in turbines may be completed next month ! If your wondering why this is such a big deal, well, these turbines will provide up to 10% of the buildings overall energy and not to mention it will add to the beautiful London city skyline.
This is a huge step forward because it's the first ever building with turbines that has been realized into a real structure. Not to mention there is a mandate that all new buildings to be zero carbon by 2019 in the UK !
The $171 million Strata, is 42-stories and if your wondering about all the noise pollution, the building turbines will use a five blade design instead of three, which cuts down on noise pollution.
