London Follow The Latest Eco Trend

London have now joined the new trend of spraying a 'dust suppressant' which will stick to pollution particles that lurk in the street so they do not pollute the air. The scheme that has been used in countries such as Sweden, Norway and Germany is a pilot program which will see two areas that are usually congested with traffic sprayed with the suppressant with the hope to reduce air pollution by 20%.

"We have scoured the globe to find new ways to tackle pollution and found this wonderful contraption that tackles air quality head on, sticking particles to the roads' surface and preventing their dastardly escape back into the air we breathe." Said London Mayor Boris Johnson.

Double Bubble !

Check out an early look into 2 od the planes we may be flying in 2035 ! The affectionatly named "Double Bubble" (on the left) and the "H-Series" (on the right) are predicted to use 70% less fuel, emit 75% less nitrogen oxides and are way less quieter than the current noisy planes we got now.

The Double Bubble is designed to replace today's Boeing 737-class jets, but flies at speeds that are about 10% slower. Its engines are mounted on the rear of the fuselage, taking in slower-moving air that's been disturbed by the plane's fuselage. That allows them to burn less fuel while maintaining the same amount of thrust they would if they were mounted on the wings.

The H Series, uses many of the same tricks, but aimed at replacing the Boeing 777-class planes that travel much longer distances. Its triangular-shaped body creates enough forward lift so there's no tail needed.

Let's not forget they look pretty cool aswell !
